2006-2009

In 2007, we moved our life and farm to our new land. Between building a small house & starting the farm, it was a busy year. (For more stories & photos, visit our farm blog.)

Just after the first of the year, we began building our little house.

Rebuilding our make-shift hot house on the new land in February so that we could begin sowing for our 2007 season.

Onion starts in the hot house (and a surprise daffodil under the benches!).

We finally moved into our little house in April!
We drilled a well in May ... it was artesian (under pressure)!

In June, we added some animal friends to the farm: 23 chicks ...
... and two sweet kittens, named Mokum and Nelson after carrot varieties.

The cool summer made for superb carrots. Here is one of our enormous carrot harvests for the CSA.
