		<description>Nice post, Katie!  Your personal evolution about food/grass/farm inputs definitely mirrors ours.  Off-farm inputs were one of the primary reasons that we switched from raising chickens to raising grass-fed beef several years ago.   (Raising grain for the chickens just wasn&#039;t practical for us given our soil and water constraints.)   

I love the idea of not fighting the grass... :-)
